How would you like to take the simplest, most direct approach to master MCAT problems?
Here is the strategy, and I'm laying it out to you for free in this letter.  I'm going to show you how to use your time and efforts where it counts, and score big on test day.

Are you ready?

So your friends are telling you how big and scary this test is, and how much work it is to prepare, right?  You've been telling yourself to get started, and maybe you've even taken another look at some of those notes from organic chemistry.  Maybe you've seen a couple of sample MCAT passages.  Endoderm!  Voltage!  Dehydrohalogenation!  Accelleration directly proportional to the product of the two masses divided by the square of the distance!  You remember most of this stuff, and you know that you pretty well got most of it when you were taking the class.  But some of it just seems totally crazy: What do I know about oscillations of high energy particles in some wierd machine?  How  would the author feel about that example of acculturation in Andean folk music?

You've looked at all this, and maybe you're a little intimidated.  You're bound and determined to get it done, but where to start?

Alright, here you go.  I said I'd tell you, right?  How long before you take the test.  Go ahead and say it aloud.  Put your game face on.  This is a sport, and you're getting ready for the big game.  As an athlete, you need to see yourself there.  Visualize.  You're focused, you blow the test away, and you never need to take it again.  You've gotta aim high with this stuff.  And I'm telling you, you can do it.  If you understand most of the basics and you performed well in your core courses, you can do it.

Now that you know how much time you have, we'll go from there.

---------------------------------------------------------
If you've got lots of time, do this:

If you've got more than 6 months before the test, don't worry about it!  You can dabble a little in MCAT practice, but you don't really need to hit it hard yet.  Just stay awake in class, and make sure you ask why.  Too many lectures at 8:00am might have you a little jaded, but I'm serious.  A little curiosity will pay off big in the long run.  When it comes time for the MCAT, you're going to need to understand the simple basics for each of these courses:

Bio 1 & 2
Chem 1 & 2
Organic 1 & 2
Physics 1 & 2

Learn the ideas!  Try to see the beauty of it!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have 4 or 5 months before test date, start right now with

Action Step #1: Get Test 3R from AAMC!

http://www.aamc.org

Click on the link above and get access to test 3R for free! This test is put together from a bunch of questions and passages that used to be on Real MCAT Exams.
If anyone offers you a practice exam that's not from AAMC, you can put it in the garbage.  Test prep companies write their own questions in house for copyright reasons.  The MCAT, and all real MCAT questions, are the property of the AAMC and others are not allowed to sell them without permission.

Action Step #2: Practice Problems from AAMC! Get Help from an Experienced Tutor like me.

This is the part where you learn the problem types and the skills you need.  I can walk you through all this so you don't have to waste your time figuring it out for yourself.  Start with these test questions in a structured way, and then brush up on content where you need it.

Important Hint!!

The MCAT is not about knowing everything.  It's about applying basics and understanding what you read.  I can help you cut to the chase and learn how to solve MCAT problems.  What I offer is not an exhaustive review of courses you have already taken, but a tutorial of simple techniques that work on real MCAT questions.  I can teach you first how to approach the test, and then guide you as you fill in remaining holes in your knowledge of content.

#1 Trap not to Fall Into!!
Countless students try to prepare for the MCAT by memorizing a bunch of stuff!  That's because this is important to passing the exams in a lot of science courses.  Because this is what students have practiced, they naturally use the memorizing skill they're so confident of.  There are even whole test prep programs that cater to students with this tendency.  But You're smarter than that.  The MCAT is mostly about understanding what you read and thinking about stuff on the spot.  If you understand basics from your core courses, just go ahead and learn the types of MCAT problems!  Take the same set of 400 problems representing all the types you will see on the test, and do them over and over.  Once you've gotten started, memorize the physics equations you will need.  Later on, patch up your knowledge with some content review and memorize the small collection of bio and organic facts you will need.

That's it in a nutshell.  It's what a person with strong fundamentals needs to do to totally blow the test away.
This is the process I will walk you through.  Click here to sign up for my next free trial session.

My methods have helped many to focus their studying where it counts, cut the time required to answer questions, and improve accuracy.  Don't just take my word for it, though.

Hear what some of my clients have to say:

David made MCAT physics easy. Before meeting with David, I would have never used the words 'easy' and 'physics' in the same sentence. But David's teaching skills and approach to question style and format transformed a difficult MCAT topic into simple math and logic.

-Natalie

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the MCAT tutoring. You are very encouraging and I definitely feel more confident about taking the MCAT in the near future. I also wanted to thank you for being so flexible. It made it easier to fit MCAT tutoring into my busy schedule.
